Thuja occidentalis is perennial evergreen plant in Cupressaceae family. It is a dense, conical to narrow pyramidal often single trunked, evergreen tree. The leaves are scale like and arranged in alternating decussate pairs in four rows along the twigs.

Planting and care
Avoid full shade where foliage density will substantially decrease.Avoid exposed, windy sites.It doesn, t require pruning as it naturally grows in the columnar shape. If you are growing this for hedge prune regularly to maintain shape. It can tolerate excessive pruning without any problem.Arborvitae care
